Equipment/function
– Two high-pressure multistage centrifugal pump from the Wilo-Medana CH1-LSP series with IE2 motor technology
– Tubular steel frame in a vibration-insulated design with height-adjustable pedestal and baseplate for attaching pumps
– Two three-way valves allow automatic switchover to drinking water replenishment in case of a lack of rainwater in the storage tank
– Replenishment reservoir (volume: 150 litres) with overflow conforming to EN 1717 (free drain type AB) and demand-oriented replenishment of fresh water when rainwater storage tank is empty
– Throughflow diaphragm expansion tank (volume: 8 litres) conforming to DIN 4807 for energy savings if there are very small leaks in the building
– Filling level sensor with 20 m cable (measurement range 0 to 5 m) allows the amount of water in the rainwater storage tank to be detected
– All parts that come into contact with the fluid are corrosion-proof
on the discharge side:
– Ball valve at each pump
– Discharge manifold that can be connected on both sides
– Throughflow diaphragm expansion tank (8 litres)
– Pressure sensor 4 – 20 mA
– Pressure gauge
– Threaded cap or blind flange depending on the nominal diameter of the manifold (must be ordered separately)
on the suction side:
– Two separate suction line connections (for separate installation of the floating extractor in the rainwater storage tank)
– Ball valve at each pump
– Pressure sensor 4 – 20 mA
– Pressure gauge
– Threaded cap or blind flange depending on the nominal diameter of the manifold (must be ordered separately)
Automatic pump control with fully electronic EC Rain control device (Easy Control) in metal housing, protection class IP54. Ready for connection as electronics and hydraulics are already hooked up. Mounted on an anti-corrosive, painted tubular steel frame.
A working area of 60 cm around the system is recommended in order to facilitate the maintenance process.
Operation/display
– LED display to output operating data, controller parameters, operating statuses of the pumps, error messages and history memory
– Menu navigation with seven-segment display and visualisation
– Factory-preset parameters for easy commissioning/start
– Setting of operating parameters and acknowledgement of fault messages using rotary knob
– Lockable main switch
– Elapsed time indicator for each pump and for the entire system
– Dry-running and overflow meter
– Fault memory for the last 10 faults
Control
– Two self-priming centrifugal pumps from the Wilo-Medana CH1-LSP series (p-c control mode)
– Adjustable switch-on and -off pressure for base- and peak-load pump in relation to the defined duty point
– Automatic, load-sensitive cut-in of the peak-load pump depending on the start-up pressure of the base-load pump
– Easy Actions menu for quick configuration of basic parameters
– Freely selectable operating mode of pump (manual, off, automatic) and three-way valves (opened, closed)
– Steady system control by means of pump cycling (configurable) and integrated test run on idle pumps
– Operating modes of the systems (manual or automatic)
– Automatic, configurable pump cycling
– Standard setting: Impulse – The base-load pump is cycled at each new demand, regardless of operating hours
– Additional: pump cycling of base-load pump after set number of operating hours (interval: 1 to 6 hours)
– Automatic, configurable pump test run (pump kick)
– Can be activated/deactivated
– Time between two pump test runs is freely programmable
– Disabling times can be programmed as desired
Monitoring
– System/level control in low-voltage range (24VDC)
– Level monitoring of the rainwater storage tank with overflow detection and metering
– Optional overflow detection for replenishment reservoir
– Over/underpressure detection
– Dry-running protection of pump
– Self-priming support
– Calcination protection of the three-way valve
– Automatic periodic water exchange in the replenishment reservoir (intervals selectable)
– Collective run and fault signals via potential-free contacts
– Optional inputs/outputs (see interfaces)
Interfaces
– Potential-free contacts for SBM/SSM collective run and collective fault signals
– Logic reversal can be applied to SBM and SSM
– Optional inputs: Contacts for dry run (delay of 1 to 180 seconds), external off, overflow (replenishment reservoir/rainwater storage tank), return (rainwater storage tank), dry run (rainwater storage tank)
– Optional outputs: two outputs with -60 to 60 second offset in relation to pump outputs 1 & 2 (if three-way valve is in the rainwater mode)
